[It's pure luck that Crona got dropped off in the village, but his luck ran out when it came to where he had been dropped off. Yep, he has the bad luck of being set down on a random roof. At first he tries his best not to panic, but after walking around on the roof for a few minutes, the tears were showing. He was really trying not to cry, because Ragnarok picks on him whenever he does...but for some reason, Ragnarok is being quiet. And it's very okay with Crona. He wouldn't be able to deal with his situation.]

He was lost, cold, and stuck on a roof! And eventually he can't stand it anymore, and will give a soft "Uhm.." to anyone that passes by, but speaking so softly, it's quite possible that he can't be heard. Then so many times of trying, he decides it's best to just talk to himself...mostly, but his journal has been on since he woke up.]

W-what am I supposed to do..? I c-can't get down...I wouldn't be able to deal with getting hurt...a-and it's a long way down.

Nobody can even hear me...and I'm really cold..

[Like a cat in a tree...

Cliff smiled sympathetically at the kid and approached the side of the house.]

Do you want a hand getting down?

[He doesn't look that much like a cat...

But he will shake his head yes.]

[It must have been the pink~~oh wait no that's not it~~.]

Alright... [He stepped up to the edge of the roof and held his hands out.] Think you can jump?

[He shakes his head] It's too high.

Hmm...Lemme get up there to take a look.

[He surveyed the area around and the distance between the eaves of the roof and the ground. It didn't look too bad for a man of his height, and the buildings were designed for snow...]

Hang on a sec.

[He leapt up and grabbed hold of the roof with his hands and, using his own strength and agility, pulled himself up to join the kid.

Cliff grinned.]

Hey.

[Crona will just give him a strange, and worried look once he's on the roof.]

W-what if you're stuck up here too?

Don't worry 'bout it. Trust me.

[He sat down nearby with his feet dangling over the edge, just to make his point. It wasn't that scary. Noting exactly how small his young companion was, and the nigh palpable fear, Cliff shrugged off his bomber jacket and set it around the kid's shoulders.]

Here. It's a little chilly.

[Poor kid. Cliff gently clapped a hand on his back and ignored the icy bite of the rain. While he didn't like it, the temperature wasn't much compared to the frigid peaks of Aeryglyph.]

I said don't worry about it. [He offered a hand.] It'll be fine. I can even get us down from here.

How? [Though he'll move his hands closer to himself. He's not used to touching anybody.]

[He raised his eyebrows.]

I can't help if ya don't trust me.

But...I just met you.

Do you have someone comin' to pick you up?

No...I don't think so.

I'm offering you a hand, kid. There's not much choice left if no one's coming.

[...Okay. He'll hold out his hand a little then. He doesn't really know what to do.]

[Cliff gently took it in his.]

Atta boy. Can you come a little closer now?

[He'll barely be holding Cliff's hand back, but he will take enough steps over.]

[He set his other hand on Crona's shoulder once the kid was closer.]

Now. I'm gonna need to carry you for a bit. Do you think you can hold on?

[He's not used to it, but he nods anyway.]

Alright.

[It was best to take everything one step at a time with this kid, Cliff realized. He was in many ways even more withdrawn than Maria was when he and Mirage pulled her out of that pod-- and more scared, if that was possible. Cliff easily stood back up, just a few scant inches shy of the edge, and gently lifted the kid up into his arms.]

Can you hold on tight? This is gonna be an interesting ride for you.

Okay.

[He'll hold on quite tightly, with a bit more strength than someone his size should have, and close his eyes.]

[The strength itself didn't surprise Cliff. Klausians were strong as it was, and one of the most fearsome fighters that he knew was a willowy woman. The strength combined with the child's size, however...

Thoughts for later. Cliff held onto the kid firmly, but not enough to stifle him, and grinned.]

Okay. Here we go!

Alley--oop!

[He leapt off of the side of the roof and landed in a low crouch.

How goes it, Crona?]

[Well, he's decently okay, all things considered...but that might be because he still has his eyes shut tight.]

There.

[He set the kid down on his feet and patted his shoulders.]

That wasn't so bad, was it?
