[Today Crona is trying to be normal, and take the advice of a few people. And it looks like he's going to say something for the first few moments....but then he takes a deep breath, and just stares at the book, not even realizing that the video function is on. He's really trying hard to say what he means...He does that a few more times, with his eyes going everywhere, until he takes one last smal breath before he starts talking pretty fast.]

I was told that a lot of people have hobbies here...And I was wondering if...if I could learn some. Any ones would be nice.

[And it cuts off rather quickly. He's never had to ask people something like that, and he doesn't have any way to deal with it.


Though a little later when he's not so freaked out when people start talking to him, he's finally doing the last thing on his list...Taking out Ragnarok at the edge of the village. Crona doesn't want to go inside, so it is really going to b e the best Ragnarok will get.

Crona can be found there, holding a long sword in an awkward mannor.  Probably in a position that would leave cuts on anybody else. He lets the sword yell and complain about everything, which is much less painful than in his head, and anybody that approaches crona will be on high alert, and shushing the sword so everything looks...relatively normal...or partly. The sword does have a large mouth on it....

This is Crona's normal day.

What kind of games?

Poker's the more popular one, and blackjack's pretty common, too. But if you don't wanna gamble there's stuff like Old Maid.

[His very dedicated card shark friends gamble over that as well.]

Are they easy to learn?

Really easy; a kid could learn it. It's actually winnin' that can be hard.

If it's easy to learn, why is it hard to win?

Because part of it's luck--like gettin' the right cards and all--unless you cheat. The rest of it's skill, which can take a lotta practice.

...Is there any that doesn't involve all that..?

There's really no point in playin' a game if there's no skill involved, is there? And the ones that don't involve any skill are all luck...

Okay...is there one that's eaier than the others

If you're completely new, I'd recommend blackjack. You hafta do less than you would in something like seven card stud. If you find somebody who's okay with it, you don't even have to gamble anything.

...If even that's too hard, then there's Go Fish.

...What's Go Fish?

It's a game where you pick up cards and try to make the most sets of matchin' cards. You can ask somebody who's playin' with you for the card you want, and if they don't have it you "fish" it outta the deck.

That sounds easy.

It's really easy. But not as fun as the others, and I'm pretty sure any joint would laugh you out if you asked somebody to a game of Go Fish.

Why would they laugh?

Because it's mostly a game for little kids.

[Gamblers are not often the nicest of people, in Firo's experience.]

Not on its own, I guess. But I know a lotta people wouldn't be caught dead playin' a kid's game. That's just how it is.

I never got to play with games like that...Are there card games for old people too?

[Hearing that, he does feel kind of bad for being so dismissive of kids' games.]

I'm sure you could find somebody to play it with you if you really wanted...

The games for adults are the gambling ones I mentioned before. Poker and stuff.

I hope so. [Playing games like that are easier, since you're focus is on cards, and not people.]

So there aren't ones only for really old people?

Really old people? Well... they just play the games adults play. And there are games like faro that're more popular with old guys, if that's what you mean. Why?
