[The voice you hear over the journals is quiet, and slow.. Quiet enough that it almost sounds like he doesn't want to be heard, and slow enough that it sounds like he doen't even want an answer. But, curious enough that he wants answers.]

I have...two questions...

...How do people make friends? A-and how does someone not scare people away if they are just telling the truth?


[Once that is done and over with, Crona places his journal facing away from him. He's not sure if he wants the answers. But for the first time, he can be seen sitting in plain view of anybody out near the middle of the village. It's taken him quiet a while to stop hiding from anything that moves, and he doesn't like being completely alone anymore.

But that doesn't stop him from drawing circles on the ground with a stick. One around him, one around the journal, then other small ones because he has nothing better to do. No actual drawings come out of this, but he is pleased with himself.]

I don't think there are any rules to making friends! Just be yourself and people are bound to like you!

Though putting yourself out there like you did just now is a great start, if you ask me!

They tell you! Or they do nice things for you, stuff like that. You could always ask if you're not sure.

It sounds a little weird to ask someone if they're you'r friend.

That still takes courage, though! I haven't really talked all that much around here either...I guess I'm a little shy too, sometimes.

[Okay, give him some time. He usually doesn't have to talk very much..]

In my world, people are usually weapons, but mine was somehow put into my blood, and here I can only use him as a weapon, but back home he could come out of me, but now he can only talk in my head. And since he's in my blood, I can use my blood as a weapon, and it's really bad when my blood goes into someone else.

Talking through a book isn't as hard as talking to a person in front of you though.

But it's still talking, right? You can make friends that way, more or less!

Though if you like, maybe you could try writing letters to someone? That's what my father and I did. It's a very common way of communicating where I came from. Some people are said to have fallen in love that way, too. There are lots of famous stories about things like that!

Writing letters takes a lot long though, doesn't it?

But that's what makes them so special! ...though if you don't care for writing, I can't blame you.

If you've made a few friends though, what's the problem? Are you lonely?

Letters are great! You can spend time and collect your thoughts, and it's always exciting to receive them!
